When measuring your spa for a new cover there are a few things to keep in mind. First is that the measurements you provide to us are exactly what we will make your spa cover. We do not add anything to the measurements or adjust them in any way to help the fit. We do review all the measurements and will contact you if something dose not look right.

Should I measure my old cover or my spa?

There are several things to consider when trying to answer this question. If your old cover is in good shape and you are happy with the way it fit, measure the old cover. It is much easier to take measurements from your old spa cover and you are less likely to struggle with the tape measure. Use two people when measuring.

If your old cover is falling apart where you can't get accurate measurements form it, or you don't have an old cover to measure, you will have to get the measurements from the spa. Make sure when measure the spa you add a little bit to your measurements for some complicated shapes (cut corners) the dimension will actually get smaller by adding a little bit to the cover. My spa has a wooden lip, should I measure the spa or the wood?

This is completely up to you. Some people like the look of having the spa cover cover the lip of their spa. If you decide to cover up the wood lip, make sure to take have the skirt made long enough to cover the lip.

How long should I have the skirt made?

The skirt length is purely astetic. It is measured from the top of the spa down to where ever you would like it to end. In most cases a three inch skirt will work

I don't see my cover shape listed in the order form.

We can make all shapes and size covers if we have enough measurements. Our online order form however was only designed for the most common sizes. If you do not see the shape of your spa listed, simply give us a call and we can give you directions on measuring you shape.
